On April  15, 2012 there will be started one of the most modern lines in Europe

On April  15, 2012 there will be started one of the most modern lines in Europe to form in masses of self-hardening castings with increased technical requirements and complex spatial shape by IMF Luino Italy.. In the line there are included:

  • 50-tonne mixer with Cata2, ACCU-PUMP system
  • loop 10 moulds - 1600x1200,
  • automated system of model replacement,
  • automatic turning engine,
  • motor sprinkler,
  • stands of mould baking, coring and assembly,
  • automated fields of transport, pouring and cooling of moulds with 113 positions
  • grid with preliminary regeneration with dimensions of 2500 x2000 mm and load capacity of 8 tonnes equipped with a manipulator to remove castings,
  • mechanical regeneration with productivity of 15-20 tonne/hour.
  • The whole is controlled and supervised with PLANTVISION system.

Steel and Iron Foundry - Magnus Nord

  • Series and non-series production of castings is made of:
    • gray iron about dimensions from 1 to 3000 kg,
    • spheroidal graphite  iron about dimension from 0,5 kg  to 3000kg,
    • steels about dimensions from  0,5 to 3000 kg.
  • Hand forming is made in range given above.
  • Machine forming is made according to the maximum dimensions:
    • length till 900mm
    • width till  700mm
    • and height till  700mm.

  • Magnus-Nord is the medium-size foundry that produce hand and machine forming  castings in sand-mould.
  • We realize separate batches (1 unit), small series (2 -100 units), medium series (from 101-5000 units) and  bigger for medium and small dimension castings.
  • We employ seven chief-engineers.
  • We stake on experience of our employee and stability of employment.
  • Each of our staff has a few years experience in founding; for instance 12 years all together and 5 years in Magnus-Nord.

  • In year 2005 in months from  june till august the board and partners are changed.    From august 2005 the company Magnus Nord is managed by one-man board Krzysztof Żurawski.

  • we are producing  about 50 types of metals such as: grey and alloy iron, spheroidal graphite and alloy iron, carbon steel,  high temperature steel, anti-rust steel and many other according to Polish, German, European norms and also on a special wish proposed individually by the clients according to prepared chemical composition.
  • The heating is made in two induction furnaces
  • we employ 110 persons; moreover we have a few smaller sub-contractors .
  • Total turnover in year 2008 was 4,85 mln Euro.
  • Foundry is leading its activity in buildings on total area of 6500 m2.

Sales from years 1991 till 2008 are good example for  the level and range of all changes that appeared in our foundry during last years.

  • Magnus-Nord this is company which is open on an international collaboration. From the beginning our company has been delivering many kind of parts for companies in Poland, Austria, Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy,  Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain, Belarus, Czech Reublic, Slovakia, Egypt
  • Despite the decrease of the export in general sale there is still very high level of export because some of our domestic clients sale our parts to the European market.
  • Many  of our clients  from Poland and Europe have been working with our foundry from many years. Our cooperation is kept in good relation and it is still growing.
